OK Ladies, you’re all set for the best girl’s night ever!
1. Bachelorette (2012) Kirsten Dunst, Rebel Wilson, Isla Fisher, Lizzy Caplan
Self-titled, former high school queen bees reunite for a group member’s wedding. Add alcohol, drugs, 10 year-long resentment, and Janice Ian (Lizzy Caplan), and you’ve got a HILARIOUS girl’s night. Bachelorette is the female equivalent of The Hangover.
2. LOL (2012) Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore, Douglas Booth
This movie is great because not only is it funny, it’s extremely relatable. It’s also nostalgic; you get to see pre-twerk Miley and reminisce about your difficult teenage years where you would scream at your mom. ALL the time.
3. She’s All That (1999) Rachel Leigh Cook, Freddie Prinze Jr.
Let’s party like its 1999! If you were born in the 90s, this movie is classic to you. The coolest and hottest kid in school transforms a shy artsy girl into a “babe” because of a bet, only to realize how beautiful she really is. And it’s Freddie Prinze Jr…Need I say more?
4. One Direction: This Is Us (2013)
The boys show you their personal side in this film. You get to see the good, bad, funny, and sad moments that go on in their superstar lives. Expect an hour and 32 minutes of you and your friends fangirling! This Is Us will be available on DVD December 17th.
5. Charlie’s Angels (2000) Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, Drew Barrymore
One of the side effects of watching this movie is wanting to/ thinking you can beat up your ex-boyfriend. Either way, those feelings are totally worth it! It’s perfect to watch at a sleepover because it’s all about girl power and friendship.
6. Speak (2004) Kristen Stewart, Michael Angarano
This will definitely be the most serious movie you watch on your girls night. Crying with friends always brings you closer! And by the end you’ll appreciate each other so much more.
7. Uptown Girls (2003) Brittany Murphy, Dakota Fanning
Brittany Murphy is no longer with us, and Dakota Fanning, 19 years old, currently has a 32 year old boyfriend. You feel old, right? Me too. But we can watch this movie and remember Dakota’s 8 year old sass and Brittany’s effervescent personality. We will eventually/can relate to Brittany’s character, a twenty something who doesn’t know how to officially grow up.
8. Coyote Ugly (2000) Piper Perabo, Mia Bello, Adam Garcia
This movie is all about taking control of your life, and making the best of all that you have to offer. Piper Perabo serenades us throughout the movie with her singer-songwriter jams and goes though embarrassing rookie moments at her brand new job. You also can’t forget about the UK, accent carrying love interest played by Adam Garcia.
9. She’s The Man (2006) Amanda Bynes, Channing Tatum
There’s a big chance that this is your favorite Amanda Bynes movie. Amanda is in her typical form here and proves that sometimes, the funny girl gets the hot soccer stud. *Cue Channing Tatum*
10. Bridesmaids (2011) Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byre, Melissa McCarthy
What is it about bride movies that are just so funny? Maybe it’s the fact that things always go terribly wrong. This movie has a great cast, great writing, and an epic sing along at the end!
