Summer Detox Water Recipes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Le Moyne chapter.

It’s always important to stay hydrated, especially during the hot summer months! However, sometimes drinking plain water by itself can get monotonous, and you may want to switch it up a bit. This is where detox waters come in! Detox waters have been a huge trend lately, and they usually work by putting different beneficial fruits, herbs, and even vegetables into your water for a tasty flavor infusion. Below are some tried and true detox water recipes!

  1. Fat Flusher: ½ gallon of water, ½ a sliced grapefruit, ½ sliced cucumber, ½ sliced lemon and lime, mint leaves

  2. Skin Saver: 2 liters of water, 2 chopped strawberries, 2 chopped kiwis

  3. Metabolism Booster: Water, sliced apple, and a few cinnamon sticks

  4. Immune System Booster: 8 cups water, sliced cucumber, sliced lemon, and mint leaves

  5. Master Cleanse: 12 ounces of water, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 2 tablespoons organic maple syrup, 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper, pinch of sea salt (rumor has it this is what Beyoncé used to get rid of her baby weight)
