The Return Of Oil Slick Nails
Alright, so there’s been a lot of chatter online recently about the new trend oil slick nails making a sort of comeback as a DIY project. But what is it really?
First made famous at Rebecca Minkoff’s Fall 2013 NYFW, the trend is back—taking on Instagram and Pinterest by firestorm.
So how does one even start to DIY this nail trend? Get into the mindset of painting a holographic galaxy on your nails. Simply add a drop of 3-4 different nail polish colors on each nail, and swirl with a toothpick. Yes, they are not supposed to look all the same or even perfect. (Metallic colors seem to work best.)
