The Fight of the Flirty Girl – Friends and Relationships

To all those flirty girls out there, and those who have flirtatious friends, you understand that sometimes it’s hard to keep track of the flurry of love arrows coming and going from all directions. Flirty girls, myself included, may have a tendency to attract attention from multiple male sources. Sure, male friends and “more-than-friends” male friends are great some of the time, but when it comes down to it a girl needs her girlfriends. Friends of flirty girls have a difficult job. Not only are they expected to keep track of the “guy-of-the-week,” but their thoughts and opinions regarding these guys are also needed. It’s up to you how much, or how little you want to actually listen to those opinions. Take my word for it, if they’re your real friends, they won’t steer you in the wrong direction.
Friends can make or break a relationship. If your man can hang out with both you and your friends, he’s a keeper. No romantic relationship should become so consuming that you no longer have time for friends. Remember that if for whatever reason that relationship fails, you won’t even have friends to go back to. On the flip side, friends can also add stress to your relationship. If your friends hate your guy, balancing both sides is not going to be easy. Your friends are your friends mainly because they have the same values and interests as you.
If they can’t stand your current boy, maybe you need to take a closer look at him. Keep in mind that we tend to see the world through “rose colored glasses” when we start to really like someone. Those glasses may prevent us from seeing a potential red flag in the relationship. Your girls can have your back because they see what you don’t see and will see what is best for you so make sure you listen to your friends. I’m not saying that you have to believe everything they say, or follow every recommendation they have, but be aware that they have an outside perspective that could help you in the long run. If your friends and your boyfriend don’t get alongand you can’t hang out with all of them at once, take that into consideration. Your friends know you, and they can see when a guy brings out the best in you. Remember to be open minded, but in the end, you control your love life and you have to do what makes you genuinely happy.
