Campus Celeb: Chelsea Balan 16’
Chelsea Balan enjoys song writing and singing. Whether is creating sultry tunes, or projecting her voice in a crowded auditorium, this college freshmen is always giving her all. Though she exudes both humility and confidence Chelsea says there have been many instances where she’s doubted her abilities. Yet her spirit enables her to be fearless in her talent and Chelsea’s love of music always shines through.
“Do what you love, and love what you do”, is how Chelsea puts it!
This 18 year old, from New York City isn’t only ambitious but somewhat athletic as well. In High School Chelsea competed in tennis for two years. Although the Le Moyne College community is staggeringly different than the culture of Brooklyn, Balan appreciates the quietness and says the campus housing is one of the best elements on campus.
Chelsea lists passing classes as her main focus right now, and attributes her personal style as Manhattan chic. Perhaps the only thing she appreciates more than an ambitious, attractive guy is her rings, which are her favorite accessories. Though Chelsea would love to stay at Le Moyne, she believes her career aspirations would better prosper in a more central city. In a few weeks Chelsea will be performing an opera and is a little easy about the selection. But one thing is for certain; no matter where Chelsea’s path guides her, its inevitable hard work and dedication will take her far.
