How did you became President of the Environmental Club ?  I was the president for the last 2 years. But I founded the club 3 years ago with a good friend who now transferred to ESF. We were in a class called ‘Poisoning of the Planet’ and it made a huge impact on how I was living. It really opened my eyes to how I needed to start making green choices in my life now. And I figured there was no better way to jump start this plan then to educate the entire student body. Â
What made you want to become apart of the Environmental Club?  I wanted to become an advocate for something that is effecting everyone here and now. I am standing up for something that doesn’t have a voice. I wanted to make a change on both a local and global level.Â
Any events in the works for your Environmental Club ?  We just got back from the largest climate march in history (People’s climate march) this was a huge stepping stone for our club. Also, on October 21st at 7pm in the Grewen auditorium myself along with a few other classmates will be discussing how environmental degradation i.e. climate change is directly effecting the poor.  This is a discussion based event marking the 35th anniversary of St. Francis who was named the patron saint of those who promote ecology We encourage everyone to come out and participate in this event.  Â
What do you think make you should a great leader? I am very passionate about going green in my day to day life. I am always welcoming to everyone’s thoughts/ideas, and I believe that everyone’s voice matters, no matter how small.Â
Plans after college? I plan on perusing a career as a orthopedic sales representative
