We’ve reviewed the top 10 boots for this Fall and Winter season stylishly appropriate for the harsh Appleton weather. Who said you can’t be both stylish and practical at the same time?

                                                          10) Steve Madden-Candence $99.95

This sturdily soled boot will last through the winter and is definitely worth the investment. Winter ‘s salt can be tough on boots, especially suede, so thick soles, good coverage, and (p)leather are always a good way to go. These would look great with leggings and a baggy sweater for a casually chic look.

9) Roxy Snapster Boot $74.00 [Buckle]
Winter might have dark and dreary weather but that doesn’t mean your boots have to match. Switch up your look with these off white, calf length boots. They will keep you warm and would look great with gray jeans and a bomber jacket.

8) Aldo-Horkey $60
Ankle boots are perfect for the cold fall season before the snow comes. Featuring a great back tie with a soft rounded toe, they would go great with tights and a patterned skirt. Through a blazer or a cardigan on top and your ready to take on fall’s chilly weather.

7) Deena & Ozzy Treaded Wedge Boot- $69.00 [UO]
These faux leather wedges are great into early winter. Closed toe and over the ankle, they provide great support with a wedge heel that allows for more control in falls and winters leaf and ice covered terrain. They will look great with thick socks or leg warmers and leggings for warm and layered looks.

6) Steve Madden- Zextor- $89.95
Tall boots will provide great coverage in winter’s deep snow and keep your feet dry and warm. Great buckle accents provide a subtle edge over the average black slouch boots. Wear them with a fitted mini skirt and a bomber jacket for and edgy yet sophisticated look and be comfortable all day or night.

5) Black Poppy Over the Knee Boot- $49.60
Want winter snow coverage without a dent in your wallet? These light gray boots are the way to go. A step away from your average black or brown boots, the faux leather makes for easy clean up with an over the knee length for optimum coverage. Pair them with jeans and a white oversized tee for an edgy yet comfortable look.

4) Aldo- Chim $44.98 (Sale!)
Buckle accents add some edge to this subtle yet sturdy ankle boot. Great for city street inspired fashion, they will go with just about anything and definitely wont require you to splurge with a tight college student budget.

3) Zigi Soho Onsite Bootie- $44.95 [DSW]
These cream lace ups are the perfect accent to falls changing colors. They will go great with brown ensembles and the sturdy sole provides great traction for wet fall weather. Wear with Jeans, a belted button up shirt, and a patterned scarf for a warm, indie look.

2) Rampage Bridie Bootie- $39.95 [DSW]
These cutesy gray boots are great for fall and early winter. Not great for deep snow, they will provide some coverage in early winters light snow while the gray color will resist salt stains more than black boots (be sure to water proof them though). For a quick and easy outfit, pair them with a skirt and a cardigan.

1) Black Popy Zipper Fold Over Boots- $44.50 [PacSun]
These vintage inspired heels will definitely make a statement. A chunky heel makes for stability in unpredictable weather, with colors that will accent any fall color scheme. Pair them with destroyed jeans and an oversized pattern tee for an edgier look or jeggings and a chunky sweater for something a bit more casual. Either way these perfectly priced boots will be sure to get you noticed!
