I’m sure you have walked past the Appleton City Center on College Avenue while on your way to Starbucks or Copper Rock to study with friends. But, if you are a diva like me and can’t manage walk two blocks without having to take a break from the Appleton winter cold, you would find that inside the City Center, there is an adorable little deli on the left side. The Green Gecko Grocer and Deli features locally-sourced meats, cheeses, produce, beer, and homemade desserts but also has an extensive menu featuring made-to-order subs, soups, and salads. The prices range from $4.50 to $8.50 on the deli menu, and the grocery options are fairly priced as well. So, if you are looking for a nice change from the campus center’s chicken breasts that tend to take on the appetizing characteristics of a hockey puck, or a turkey pesto wrap that expired last Thursday, give this charming Appleton gem a try!
Visit The Green Gecko at 10 College Ave. in Suite 107
Hours: Mon – Fri: 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, Sat: 8:00 am-3:00 pm
