You can find the new store at 327 King George Road, Brantford. From campus, it’s only a 13-minute drive, or just a short bus ride away.
“I think it’s great!” said Graclynn, a fourth-year Laurier Brantford student. “It’s closer than the mall, and they sell brands that are geared towards our age group like American eagle and stuff like that and usually for a lower price so it’s quite ideal for us!”
For those who don’t already know, Plato’s Closet is a gently-used clothing store that buys and sells the latest fashions. According to their website, Plato’s Closet sells “all the hottest name brands and styles that you see at the malls at up to 70 per cent less than the mall prices”. S E V E N T Y – P E R C E N T O F F. Are you excited yet? WAIT… there’s more.
They haven’t announced the first official day that they will be open for us to shop, however, they just dropped their buying date. Starting Thursday, October 4th, Plato’s Closet will start BUYING your gently used clothes, shoes, and accessories in order to fill their shelves. You know what that means? Cash on the spot for those items that you thought were a good idea, but have yet to make an appearance in your OOTDs.
“Plato’s closet has been a great way for me to restyle my wardrobe at an affordable price!” said a third-year Golden Hawk, Meghan. “How could you not like getting paid cash for your old clothes? I’m even more excited now that one coming just minutes away from campus!”
As an avid Plato’s Closet shopper and seller, I can tell you that there is no better way to keep your wardrobe fresh and your wallet happy. I have found some amazing pieces at Plato’s Closet for extremely cheap. Chunky Steve Madden heels for less than $20? YUP.
So ladies, I strongly encourage each and every one of you to start looking at your wardrobe, parting with those items that have just been taking up space in your closet.
