The TV show, Friends, is usually the feel-good sitcom everyone loves and can relate to. But now it might be leaving Netflix! Different news websites, such as The Sun, reported that the show might be leaving in January 2019.
The show has been on the streaming website since 2015, but it is rumoured that Netflix has not renewed its subscription for the show, meaning if it is not renewed, it will be taken off.
Fans are not pleased. Friends lovers have stated that if the news is true, and there is no more Friends on Netflix, then they will also stop their subscription to Netflix!
To be honest, I am not sure why Netflix hasn’t renewed their contract. Knowing this is a popular show and that many people follow it and watch it multiple times, they might want to get on that. Personally, I have watched Friends twice and I am currently watching it a third time. I even take quizzes to see who I am most like (I am most like Rachel if anyone was wondering). I do not think I would ever cancel my Netflix subscription for Netflix. At the same time, if they do lose the renewal contract and people do cancel their Netflix account, Netflix might renew the show again to gain those viewers back.
But essentially, this is why you must watch Friends now! Yes, it is exam season, and yes, it is the holidays so you might want to watch holiday movies, but Friends is a classic, and you will miss it if it does leave!
