Celebrities have been trying to hide their personal lives forever. Originally, all they had to worry about was paparazzi and noisy reporters. But with the birth of the internet, we began to have further insight into their personal lives and any illusion of privacy is gone. We see the best of their lives and the worse…

From Jay-Z’s infidelity to the Kim Kanye divorce to Britney’s conservatorship… we seem to eat up all the bad things happening in celebrity lives. Moments that they would probably prefer to keep quiet are all out in the open for us to read and see. We see the worse moments in their lives while they’re crying and in their pajamas because of the paparazzi which get uploaded onto the internet within hours and will always be able to be found with a simple google search.

Sometimes the stuff I see online about celebrities seems like an invasion of privacy. When I look away I feel disgusted and like that wasn’t for me to know. But they will continue to keep pushing out negative celebrity gossip because that’s what people want to see. They want to feel involved in their favorite celebrity’s life or either meant to see other people’s suffering.

I don’t blame celebrities that keep a private life, like Dolly Parton. They already share so much with us, we don’t need to know their personal life.
