Kitchen Nightmares has come back from its nine-year hiatus! Gordon Ramsey takes on the task of helping restaurants that invited him to spend a week to try to revive them. Most restaurants that ask for Gordon’s help struggle with debt, lack of customers, and sometimes lack experience or management. Gordon tries his best to help these restaurants with his expertise from his experience of being a chef. I will be listing some restaurants that are still open today after being on the original Kitchen Nightmares, not the 2023 reboot, and their Yelp reviews.

  1. Pantaleones located in Denver, Colorado sells Italian pizza.

The reason that they asked for help was the lack of customers. Gordon said that it was not open most days and hours and does not provide a delivery service while being a pizza shop. Pantaleones currently has reviews that are above average with 4.2/ 5 stars on Yelp and people love the pizza now. However, the owner says they are still struggling a bit.

  1. Yanni’s Greek Restaurant located in Seattle, Washington sells Greek food.

The reason they asked for help was that they didn’t know what was going wrong. Gordon believed it was because the food and the decor were outdated since nothing had changed from when they opened in 1984. Yanni’s current reviews are average with 3.8/ 5 stars on Yelp.

  1. Luigis D’Italia located in Fullerton, California sells pizza and Italian food.

The reason for them asking for help was that they were in so much debt that they would have to close the restaurant within the next month of Gordon’s visit if it didn’t get back on its feet. Another problem was the food not being up to par, dealing with lots of frozen food, which led Gordon to simplify the menu to reduce the frozen food. Luigi’s current reviews show above-average results with 4.4/ 5 stars on Yelp.

  1. Spin A Yarn Steakhouse located in Fermont, California sells American steak and seafood.

They asked for help because they overspent their budget on remolding the restaurant and it didn’t help keep the restaurant up and running. Current reviews are average with 3.5/ 5 stars on Yelp, but there are some complaints about its prices.

  1. Spanish Pavilion located in Harrison, New Jersey sells Spanish food and specializes in seafood.

The reasons they asked for help were debt, family issues, lack of communication, and the lack of the head chef not cooking. The Spanish Pavilion’s current reviews are average with 3.5/5 on Yelp.

  1. Lido di Manhattan located in Manhattan Beach, California sells Italian and American food.

The reason they asked for help is that the owner did not have much experience with restaurants and hadn’t changed anything since it was purchased. Lido di Manhattan currently has average reviews with 4/ 5 stars on Yelp.
