I knew that going to school near a city like Boston would mean having tons of amazing events only a quick train ride away. Now that Halloween is almost here, I started thinking about all the spooky events that must be taking place in Boston. So, I started researching and found some events happening in Boston that are perfect ways to celebrate the spooky season. Without further ado, here are three upcoming events in Boston in honor of Halloween.

  1. Ghosts and Gravestones Tour

For a perfect combination of history and frights, the Ghosts and Gravestones Tours are a great way to see the historical sites of Boston and have a good scare while doing so. Visitors hop on a trolley and take a trip around Boston to see the more frightening attractions the city has to offer. The tours are led by “a ghoulish band of the undead and a rogueish gravedigger,” according to their website. For anyone interested in hearing spooky ghost stories, seeing the sights of Boston, and is up for a good scare, the Ghosts and Gravestones Tour is a hauntingly good way to celebrate Halloween.

  1. ‘Myths, Magic, and Monsters’ at the New England Botanical Garden

For those looking for a less scary way to celebrate the season, check out the ‘Myths, Magic, and Monsters’ exhibit at the New England Botanical Garden in Boylston. The exhibit takes a fantastical look at the mythological creatures that have been featured in legends and stories all throughout time. This event is a wonderful way to see creatures of myth realized through gorgeous displays of nature.

  1. Scary Movie Drag Bingo

And for those interested in having a chillingly good time, Scary Movie Drag Bingo will supply just that. The event features local drag queen, Plane Jane, who actually performed at Lasell University this past spring! Attendees can expect a night of spooky thrills and drag performances, all while playing bingo! Any Lasell student can attest to just how fun and competitive a bingo night can get, so you don’t want to miss this!
