The Top 5 Inexpensive Things to Do with Your BFFs this Weekend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

College is more than just class. When you’re at school, you meet great people and create loads of memories that will be remembered forever. To be able to have such great memories, you need to do things with your friends and/or roommates and to just have fun. As someone who does not go home often on the weekends, it can be boring to just sit around all weekend, but, things can get expensive. Here are some ideas and tips on how to have fun with your friends without breaking the bank.

1. Take the T and just walk around

One of the most fun things my friends and I have done is taking the train into Boston, getting off at a random spot, and exploring. By doing this, we have found some really cool spots as well as stores and restaurants. You can also pack lunches and go to a nearby park and have a picnic.

2. Movie Night

Every week, my roommates and I have a movie night. We get some snacks from the grocery store, go onto Netflix, and pick a movie to watch. It is so much fun and a great way to bond with your roommates.

3. Spa Night

Another night in could be a spa night. Many stores such as CVS or Walgreens sell face masks, and some have hilarious designs. This could be the perfect night of rest and relaxation for you and your friends and would be perfect during finals week.

4. Museum

A museum can be a fun place to go, as well as educational, and a great place to take some super cool selfies. There are all different types of museums, so it can be easy to pick one that everyone will enjoy. Also, many museums have free admission or a discount for college kids.

5. Use Your College ID

Your college ID is so much more useful than just letting you into your dorm. Showing it at shops, restaurants, and various activities around the city can help you save money by providing a discount. This can make doing the things you love possible and more affordable.

Use some of these ideas and tricks to spend a great and memorable day with your friends!
