For years now (since its debut in 2012), my go-to Starbucks drink has been the Strawberry Acai Refresher. It’s simply delicious and so versatile! Year-round, hot or cold outside, I’ll be ordering this drink at my local Starbucks. I think I might be slightly obsessed with them, but honestly, that’s okay with me. If you aren’t in love with the Starbucks Strawberry Acai refresher yet, you will be after reading this article and finding out all of the cool ways you can make the Strawberry Acai refresher your own.

Lemonade

The most classic way to change up your Strawberry Acai refresher is by asking for lemonade instead of water. In fact, this is such a popular customization that most Starbuck stores now ask if you’d like water or lemonade when you order any of their refreshers.

Juice

Similarly, instead of asking for either lemonade OR water, ask for either apple juice or peach juice. I tried this for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and it was totally a game changer! I had forgotten how much I like apple juice until I had it mixed in with my favorite refresher, so give it a try!

Tea

If you’re looking for something that feels more caffeinated than sugary, try adding some tea into your refresher. The Starbucks app lets you add either black tea, green tea, or passion tango tea (my personal favorite). Iced tea with a hint of strawberry? Yum!!

Flavored Syrup

Another thing Starbucks lets you do is add flavored syrups to your drinks, and this isn’t limited to just coffee. I’m personally not a huge fan of adding flavored syrups into my drinks, but I know a ton of people who swear by it. The Starbucks app lets you choose from brown sugar, caramel, chestnut praline, cinnamon dolce, hazelnut, irish cream, peppermint, raspberry, sugar cookie, vanilla (or sugar-free vanilla), and toffee nut. I recommend trying out raspberry or vanilla!

Fruit Add-ins

The original Strawberry Acai refresher comes with one scoop of strawberry inclusions, but this isn’t the only fruit you can add into your drink. I always ask for my refreshers to be made without the strawberry inclusions, but if you’re up for a change, you can replace the strawberries with dragon fruit inclusions, kiwi inclusions, or even strawberry puree!

Let me know in the comments below what you think about these combinations, and if you’d try any of them in your next refresher.
