Well, everyone, Halloween has now passed (Boo!!) and we are on to the next holiday in the U.S.: Thanksgiving! For this Thanksgiving season, I decided that I would cook one dish for my family. I started cooking this past summer and I got really into it, so I’m super excited to try one of these dishes out. I chose three different dishes to pick from, with the recipes listed, and my reasons why I’m thinking of making them. Hopefully, I actually get to make one of them this year, because they all sound super good! So, read below for my potential Thanksgiving recipes.

  1. Mac and Cheese

Now, I know this might be a strange one for some people, but my Mom is from the South, where Mac and Cheese for Thanksgiving is actually super normal. I honestly don’t remember a Thanksgiving without this dish somewhere on the dining table, so this would probably be the most traditional for my family. I chose a different type of mac and cheese than my family usually eats, which is baked mac and cheese with breadcrumbs. My best friend’s Mom makes the best baked mac and cheese, so I am definitely looking forward to trying this at some point in the future, even if it’s not this upcoming holiday.

  1. Onion Dip

Honestly, I just like onion dip. I’m not going to lie on that one. But, I’ve never made a dip before, so I thought it might be a nice new addition to the recipes I’ve tried out. I figured I could pair onion dip with some potato chips as a snack before or after dinner.

  1. Loaded Baked Potato Soup

This is the only recipe that I’ve actually made before. Well, not this exact recipe, this is a new one I want to try out, but I have made baked potato soup before. It is delicious! My family already loved it when I made it the first time, so why mess with perfection? The first time I made this, I had also bought a fresh loaf of bread to dip in it. Amazing. That’s all I have to say about that.
