Thankful for our Fellow HerCampus Chapters…. Luisa Colon from the University of Puerto Rico

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Luisa Colon is a fourth-year literature major from the University of Puerto Rico. This is Luisa’s first year in Her Campus and has absolutely enjoyed the experiences she has gained from her chapter. Being online this year, it has been difficult for Luisa to connect with her sisters but has adapted to being able to enjoy her niche of publishing and writing. They really enjoy the aspects of being able to rant and express their emotions through their articles, and getting to see all different sides of the platform.

Q: What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Luisa: “I am thankful to have been granted the opportunity to collaborate with my chapter sisters this year and find new connections!”

With both sisters being interested in all things books, we connected deeply to both of our favorite authors, with Luisa claiming that Leigh Bardugo was her favorite. One of her favorite novels from the fantasy writer is “Ninth House”. We also connected deeply with tarot card reading and crystals. With both being Gemini’s, it was hard not to find common compassions! Luisa’s story is certainly interesting, as she moved to Puerto Rico when she was just 15 years old and was actually born in Springfield, MA. In the future, Luisa hopes to write her first novel and create a path in the publishing and editing route.

I had such a pleasure getting to meet a Her Campus sister from across the country, and I am so thankful to have made a new friend in the process!
