Watch out Lasell, The Plastic Water Bottle Campaign is coming to campus. The idea of this campaign is to eliminate and/or decrease the amount of plastic water bottles on Lasell’s campus. Posters are around the school to help raise awareness the advantages of using a reusable water bottle.

This campaign promotes the use of reusable water bottles for a variety of reasons. Antimony, which is found in PET plastic bottles, in small doses can cause dizziness and depression; in larger doses it can cause nausea, vomiting and death. Ditching the plastic water bottles also ditches this chemical from your system. Using a reusable bottle keeps both Mother Earth and your wallet green, preventing more waste and wasted money. For about $10 you can buy either a 16-ounce or 32-ounce Nalgene bottle, saving hundreds of dollars per year that would have been spent on bottled water.
