The weather is getting cold and the holidays are almost here! Get ready to cozy up on the couch with some hot chocolate and your favorite holiday movies. Personally, I’m a big fan of classic Christmas movies. Whether they include Santa and the reindeer or tell a different story. I’ve decided to share with you my favorite Christmas villains who are always determined to ruin the winter holiday.

Harry and Marv (The Wet Bandits) from Home Alone

Starting off with the classic pair, Harry and Marv, better known as The Wet Bandits. Harry and Marv are the villains of Home Alone and were determined to rob the McCallister family. However, one brave 8-year-old was not about to let that happen. I swear, every time I watch this movie I look forward to seeing those two get absolutely crushed by Kevin. My favorite scene is when they fall and trip over the marbles.

Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas

This movie can be debated; some see it as a Halloween movie, others see it strictly as a Christmas movie. I think it can be either. In this movie, Oogie Boogie was determined to take down his rival, Jack Skellington, who had dreams of becoming the new Santa Claus. Oogie Boogie kidnapped Santa, with the intention of killing him, but was thwarted by Jack. I am completely obsessed with Oogie Boogie’s song in this movie and have to listen to it again and again after I watch it.

The Gremlins from Gremlins
Gremlins is such a funny and silly Christmas movie that I have to watch every year. When Billy is given a pet ‘mogwai’ by his father for Christmas, he’s told there are three rules to take care of it: no water, no bright light, and to always feed it after midnight. However, of course, this doesn’t go to plan. When Billy fails to follow those three tasks, the mogwai changes and turns into a demonic gremlin. When a gremlin gets wet, it multiplies, which is how Billy’s hometown is taken over by them. This movie always brings a smile to my face because of how cute the mogwai are and how they transform into such weird little creatures.
