With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, now is the time everyone is planning for the love filled holiday. In 2023 there’s no wrong way to celebrate V-Day. Whether you’re cuddling up with your boo, your friends, or yourself. As long as you have some love in your heart, you’re celebrating. I wanted to know how different people on Lasell’s campus were celebrating this year. Hopefully, this will give people some last minute inspiration for the holiday!

The Romantics

While Valentine’s day is really about any kind of love, it’s most known for celebrating with your significant other. For those lucky enough to have a partner, there are some adorable plans in the works.

Julia M: “I’m going out to dinner with my boyfriend :)”

Kyra: “I’ll be having a belated dinner with my boyfriend the weekend after!”

Yali: “My BF and I are staying in on the weekend before and he’s making us dinner while I make us dessert and we’re gonna watch movies!”

The Galentines

Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples, it’s also a great time to celebrate friendship! Galentine’s Day has become increasingly popular in recent years, and for good reason. Here’s how some friends are spending the day.

Liv: “I’m having a Galentine’s party with some of my girls, watching RomComs, and eating popcorn.”

Jade: “Me and my friends are gonna dress up super nice and grab food!”

Kaylee: “I am going to have a Galentines with my friends, watch movies, make/hand out valentines, and eat some snacks.”

Olivia: “Spending time with my friends because yay platonic love! (and also I’m single).”

The Big Events

For some, Valentine’s Day coincides with other big days. Others have planned big events around the holiday to spread the love.

Madison: “She’s The First is going to be giving away free Valentines’ goodies outside the dining hall!”Julia L: “I’m going to celebrate my best friend’s birthday, she was born on Valentine’s Day!”
