Lasell Wins Against Suffolk

On February 8, Lasell’s male basketball team won their game against the Suffolk University Rams. Lasell won the jump ball and sophomore Richard O’Brien put Lasell on the board first with a three point field goal. They held their lead on Suffolk throughout the game by recording 17 three point field goals. Lasell proved to be the dominant team with sophomore Clyde Niba recording 5 blocks and 29 total points. Clyde was 11-18 on shots attempted and saw 35 minutes of playing time. He was 4-4 in regards to free throws. O’Brien played impressively, going a perfect 7-7, sinking all 5 three pointers attempted, and was 1-2 regarding free throws. He recorded 20 of Lasell’s 103 points. Senior Brock Walters was 8-11, recording 4 three pointers and a total of 24 points. Both Walters and O’Brien posted career-highs in points. Lasell triumphed with a final score of 103-75. Lasell (12-8) travels to Albertus Magnus (18-2), a team that won 101-91 during their last meeting at Lasell, on February 11.

Angela is a senior communication major with a concentration in public relations, and is double minoring in legal studies and sports communication. She studied in Washington, D.C. during the Spring 2016 semester. Angela has interned with McGovern Law and the Washington Ballet. She once was in the same press conference as President Obama. When not in class, she can be found in the Brennan Library studying, in the one of the gyms on campus or taking a nap. Angela is a sports lover, buffalo chicken enthusiast, and future master sommelier.
