Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Review

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

The moment we have all been waiting for is finally here. Jersey Shore: Family Vacation has premiered, and it was as entertaining as ever. Except this time, the crew took their party from Seaside Heights to Miami. I laughed, I cried, it was everything I could have hoped it would be.

Quick update on what everyone’s been up to: Everyone but Pauly D is in a relationship, The Situation is two years sober and currently in the middle of a court case after being accused of tax evasion, potentially facing 10 years in prison. Snooki is married with two kids, but is still the wild, free spirited Snooki that we all know and love.

Pauly D has been very busy DJing around the world, and JWoww is also married with two kids. Vinny has done some more TV here and there, and Deena hasn’t done much. Ronnie has a pregnant girlfriend, and finally, Sammi Sweetheart did not want to come back on the show, but she did make an appearance in the form of a plastic life-size doll. It’s just too bad we didn’t get to relive our favorite line:

There was a lot of reminiscing, drama, drinking, and partying and of course, the duck phone. They have not matured one bit; the only difference is the hangovers are a lot worse at 30 than they were at 21. Snooki and JWoww have a moment of mommy guilt when Snooki hears her son Lorenzo’s favorite song, but they’re able to bounce back. The crew is not as crazy as they used to be, but it’s touching to see that they have been functioning adults in the real world for the past five years. Unfortunately Snooki has phased out the poof, but don’t worry, the fist pumping didn’t go anywhere. All in all, it’s worth the watch if you’re a dedicated Jersey Shore fan.
