As a hopeless romantic myself, I tend to fantasize about romantic scenarios. I blame the romantic comedies I’ve watched, romantic movies I’ve seen, and the fanfiction I came across while growing up (along with hearing cute date stories from my family and friends). Fortunately, all those things help me elevate my standards in my dating life. With Valentine’s Day coming up I wanted to see other people’s definition of romance. Here is everyone’s definition of romantic dates.
- “I want a nice, romantic slow-song. Petals in the bed, chocolate, candles and good sex. I would like a getaway date. Somewhere warm like Costa Rica. Kinda like a baecation. Another idea would be a surprise date. I think a surprise date would be romantic in itself” – Alex
- “A flight to Paris”- Cindy
- “A candlelit dinner in my living room playing Xbox on my 65” tv with the love of my life”- Kike
- “A romantic date that reflects all of my favorite things. A date that shows that my partner involves all of my favorite things in their way. A personalized date is the word! It shows that the person pays attention to me as a person”- Megan
- “A date that isn’t planned by me” – Amelia
- “A quiet candle-lit dinner, followed by a Michael Buble concert at Carnegie Hill in New York City”- Erika
- “A carnival during the warm seasons would be nice. Amazing rides, delicious food and overall a fun time”- Chris
- “A date where they kill me :)”- Laurel
- “A picnic and walk on the beach”- Kaitlin
- “A hot air balloon ride and visiting a planetarium”- Terrence
- “A yacht ride while watching the sunset, with good old tunes throughout the ride”- Ashley
- “To be woken up with breakfast in bed. Followed by a night of stargazing during a star shower”- Melly
- “A dinner date in Paris, with a nice view of the Eiffel tower”- Mabel
- “A gamer type of night, playing Super Smash Bros. and eating some good take-out”- Ryan
- “A nice picnic by the lake or a view of city lights. Delicious food and some wine would be lovely”- Omar
- “A late night date in New York City, 90s style”- Zaida
- “Hiking to watch the sunrise or sunset from a good view”- Katie
- “I would love to dress up and go to the orchestra in New York City”- Acsa
This was cute for me to see. I love the range and creativity that was shown! Everyone has a different perspective on what romance means to them. Therefore, there’s always someone for anyone out there.
