H&M Teams Up With Erdem

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

H&M has recently teamed up with London-based Canadian and Turkish designer Erdem Moralioglu for an exclusive retail line. Erdem is a favorite among influential women and celebrities like Michelle Obama, Keira Knightley, Emma Stone, the Duchess of Cambridge and Sienna Miller.

The collection, which dropped Nov. 2, will be available in selected stores and online.  It will most likely resemble Erdem’s more high-end expensive looks at a more consumer-friendly price. Baz Luhrmann directed the accompanying ad campaign which perfectly compliments the style of Erdem. Erdem’s work can be described as romantic and feminine, yet powerful and that is clearly seen in the collaboration with H&M.

The collection encompasses a variety of pieces, from casual t shirts and sweatshirts, to formal dresses and coats. All of the Erdem pieces have a very feminine aesthetic that falls into Erdem’s niche. This includes florals and lace that are common among many of the pieces, while other patterns like leopard print and plaids make appearances as well. There is also a range of accessories including, shoes, socks, scarves, jewelry and purses. Erdem and H&M have hit it out of the park with this collaboration, allowing everyone to feel chic and high fashion, without the price tag.
