On a Budget Hair Care for a Broke College Girl

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Need to fix your dry hair from the winter, but don’t want to break the bank? We’ve got you covered! Here is our favorite on a budget hair care products! I personally swear by Not Your Mother’s Products and Garnier products so you will see a lot of those.

1. Garnier Hair Mask

The brand has many different kinds, but the one I have been loving right now for dry hair is the nourishing hair mask with coconut extract. Their one-minute hair masks can also leave-in conditioner, or regular conditioner depending on how you use it. They also make your hair smell really nice. Garnier also makes a really good leave-in conditioner if you are looking for more of something that is for everyday use.

 2. Suave Hairspray

For years I have loved and trusted in the Max Hold Suave Hairspray, for someone who has thick and sometimes frizzy hair like myself, it is great for up-do’s and when I leave my hair down natural.

3. Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray

I have naturally curly hair, but to enhance it and to defrizz it some days I love using Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. I especially love using it in the summer on damp hair, it is honestly pure magic for your hair.

4. Batiste Dry Shampoo

Another long term favorite for a bad hair day. A personal favorite is the Batiste Floral and Flirty Dry Shampoo. It not only makes hair look cleaner but also makes it smell nice.

5. Garnier Curl Constructor Mousse

Garnier Fructis Style Curl Construct Creation Mousse is another great product for enhancing curls and defrizzing.

6. Tresemme Flat Iron Spray

If straightening your hair is more your thing, another product I have always trusted in is TRESemme Keratin Smooth Flat Iron Smoothing Spray. It is super affordable and works great.

Haircare and the products you use are super important for healthy hair, hope this gave some new ideas on what hair products to purchase next.
