The Best Spooky Spotify Playlist for Halloween All Year ‘Round

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Here at Her Campus Lasell, we are committed to spooky content.  Halloween (and Fall in general TBH) is the perfect time for the best movies, costumes, music, books, and more.  This week we’ll be breaking down the ultimate lists to have you celebrating Halloween the right way.

It’s the season of the witch. It’s that time of the year to get your thrill on for this spooky season! It’s also time for new music. This is the best month to listen to new music before all the holiday jazz music starts filling up the cheerful air next month. Spotify has created Halloween playlists for parties that feature classics such as Thriller, Ghostbusters, and This is Halloween. Those songs are still the best of the best for all the creeps and ghouls out there. Now, I got another Halloween playlist that will knock the socks off of your feet (Literally speaking) and that you can listen through the year. Here are my Top 10 songs that create the best Spooky Playlist for this fall season from our playlist, It’s Halloween All Year.

1. Season of the Witch – Lana Del Ray

Lana Del Ray has always been the queen of Halloween with her haunting voice. Beautiful yet Chilling.

2. Circles – Post Malone

Posty gets us again with a new hit. He’s definitely the king of the thrones in the video and on the charts with this chilling song. Plus, the beat and chorus are bomb.

3. Don’t Call Me Angel – Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, and Lana Del Ray

You thought Bang, Bang was the women anthem for all of us. Then you gotta check out this trio track for the new upcoming Charlie’s Angels film. Ariana, Miley, and Lana Del Ray?! What more could you want? Just, don’t call them angels.

4. Graveyard – Halsey

It’s Halsey featuring Europhia’s Sydney Sweeney! It’s also Halsey too. No words can say more about this track.

5. Slide Away – Miley Cyrus

This was a sad day for all of us to hear about Hemsworth’s divorce, but she got a chilling and beautiful song out of it.

6. People – The 1975

If you love Robbers and Sex, this song is not your verte. If you love Matt Healy and his strong messages in his songs; then give this song a listen. Might take a few tries but trust me, this song will hit you hard and your eardrums. (Just a little warning for headphone users)

7. Bad Guy – Billie Eilish

No Halloween playlist can be complete without a track of Billie Eilish. I mean, DUH! This song has the sickest beat and never gets tiring. If you’re tired of this song, then the entire When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go album fits the spooky season chill with all the quirkiness aspects of Billie.

8. Dance Monkey – Tones and I

A favorite of mine. Get up and dance like a dancing monkey with this fun song. The remixes are also something to check out too. Need a perfect party song, here ya go!

9. Just Exist – Eliza and The Delusionals

If you listen to Alt Nation on XM. This song has been number 1 for a few weeks now and you will understand why when you hear Eliza hit those notes at the end.

10. Lights Up – Harry Styles

Leaving this on a high note. Harry Styles is back and he’s not going back to 1D after this video. Lights Up will spark your interest that you’ll want to keep hitting repeat for this 2:55 min track. You’ll be counting down for more music by Mr. Styles himself which should be out next year. Right now, we got this gem for us from him.

Anything you like? Ready to get your freak on with more music! Check out the full playlist here. Happy Spooky Season!
