Alpacas: The 2019 Wedding Accessory You Didn’t Know You Needed

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Every little girl dreams about their wedding day. Some girls want a lavish, over the top, princess wedding, while others want a wedding on the beach. A very popular wedding venue right now is barns. Barns provide a rustic, relaxed wedding feel and are also a beautiful and more unexpected venue.

Another reason barns can be an interesting choice is because of what barns hold, animals. Many farm venues have animals and you can even incorporate them into your big day.

A popular trend that started last year was wedding llamas. The couple could have two llamas come to their wedding, dressed in bride and groom attire, and both the couple and guests could take photos with them.

A farm in Vermont has taken alpaca themed wedding to the next level. The farm is called, “Champlain Valley Alpacas,” and they are an alpaca-only farm. The site for the wedding to take place is called “The Vermont Wedding Barn.”

They allow, if the couple agrees, alpacas are allowed to roam free during the ceremony. They can walk down the aisle, watch from the sidelines, or be standing next to you for the biggest day of your life.

The most exciting part of this venue is an event they call, “Running of the Alpacas.” Imagine it…you and your significant other, instead of taking pictures while frolicking through flowers, frolicking through a herd of alpacas! This run allows every alpaca lover to live their wildest dreams and it also makes some amazing photos!

This farm combines many great things and creates a fantastic event. This venue is every alpaca lover’s dream and is an amazing opportunity.
