7 Cute AF Valentine’s Day Date Ideas That Won’t Break the Bank

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Need a cute Valentine’s Day Idea, but on a broke college kid budget? Because same. Here are seven fun and inexpensive Valentine’s Day date ideas for you and your S.O.!

1. Have a Night in and Bake Cookies

This can be super fun and gives you a chance to show off your baking skills, or not haha. You can learn a new skill. Watch your favorite romance movie after and have a night in.

2. Ice Skating

This can be super romantic, even if you are not that great of an ice skater like me. If it is a warm day find a nice pond in the city where they have ice skating or find an indoor skating rink.

3. Have a Bonfire and Invite Friends Over

If you want a fun group date idea to invite some friends over and have a bonfire! Have everyone bring snacks to keep it on the cheaper side.

4. Drive Somewhere to Watch the Sunset

This is super romantic and great for photos! You do not have to go all the way to the beach, just find a lake, a state park, or just some open land. Then, grab dinner somewhere afterward!

5. Go Dancing

A super cute idea and some places have dinner and dancing!

6. Basketball or Hockey Game

Even getting seats in the balcony is still really fun, you do not have to spend a lot of money. You can even go to a local game or your college’s game and it would still be super fun!

7. Go See a Musical or a Play

Again, it does not have to be broadway, it could be a local showing or you can find balcony seats higher up and it would be fun and inexpensive.

I hope these gave you some great ideas for this upcoming Valentine’s Day!
