5 Tips To Grow Your Hair Faster and Healthier

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Taking care of your hair is super important and there are many easy ways to do so with little to no cost. So here are five ways to grow your hair faster and make it more healthy.

1. Drink More Water

Drinking lots of water is not only good for clear, healthy skin, it is also good for trying to grow your hair or nails.

2. No Heat

Trying to use no heat is the best option for your hair because using heat styling tools or a blow dryer on your hair creates split ends faster. It is harder for your hair to grow with split ends. Something else that creates split ends is brushing wet hair, it is better to use a wide-tooth comb.

3. Heat Protection Products

If you do have to use heat on your hair, make sure to use heat protection spray. Garnier makes a great one for flat irons and Tresemme makes a great on for any heat styling tools or blowdryer.

4. Vitamin E

Vitamin E is something else that is great for your hair, skin, and nails. Many nuts and vegetables are a great source of Vitamin E.

5. Get a Trim

Getting a trim every two to three months is surprisingly the best thing you can do for your hair. Many people think that you should not cut your hair if you are trying to grow it, but without getting a trim, you are not getting split ends off and preventing your hair from growing. You only need to get a half an inch to inch off to just get dead ends off, so your hair can grow healthier.
