5 Things You Can Make With Candy Corn

It’s fall again and this means Halloween candy and, of course, this includes candy corn! Candy corn is one of the most festive and classic Halloween candies, however it might seem like there isn’t too much you can do with it. Here are some delicious treats that you can make with candy corn.

  1. Harvest Hash Trail Mix                               

What you need:

  • Pretzels
  • Bugles chips
  • Honeycomb cereal
  • Candy Corn
  • Candy Corn Pumpkins
  • Chex Muddy Buddy- any flavor
  • M&M’s or round Chocolate Candy

This is a simpler recipe as all you have to do is combine the ingredients to your desire.

2. Candy Corn Cookie Bark

What you need:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) Butter
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 2 1/2 cups Flour
  • 2 cups Autumn Mix Candy

Recipe

  1. Cream the butter and sugars in a mixer.
  2. Add in the salt, vanilla and eggs and mix until combined.
  3. Add the baking soda and the flour.
  4. Fold in the Candy Corn with a spoon instead of the mixer.
  5. Pour out the dough onto a prepared cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Press the cookie dough down to fill the entire cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 14-15 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  8. When the Candy Corn Cookie Bark has completely cooled cut it into randomly shaped bite-sized pieces.

3. Candy Corn Hot Chocolate

What you need:

  • ½ gallon whole milk
  • 1 (11-oz.) bag white chip morsels
  • 2 cups candy corn
  • Whipped cream, marshmallows or ghost peeps for serving

Recipe

In a 3-quart or larger slow cooker, add the milk, white chips, and candy corn. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. Serve topped with whipped cream, marshmallows, or ghost peeps. Enjoy!

4. Candy Turkey Bites

What you need:

  • Pretzel Twists
  • Candy Corn
  • Rolos
  • Reese’s Pieces
  • Candy Eyeballs

Recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 300. Line a baking pan with parchment paper or Silpat baking mat.
  2. Place pretzels with the salted side down with the double rounded end pointed toward you.
  3. Unwrap Rolo candies and place them in the center towards the top of the pretzel.
  4. Place them in the oven until the chocolate softens, about 1 minute.
  5. Beginning decorating by placing the candy eyeballs towards the middle, slightly towards the top, of the Rolos candy. Take a Reese’s Pieces and turn it sideways and insert it below the eyes. Finally take three pieces of candy corn and insert them along the top of the Rolos for the feathers.
  6. Place them in the freezer to solidify. Store in an airtight container.

5. Candy Corn Krispie Cake

What you need

  • 6 c. Krispie Rice cereal
  • 5 c. mini marshmallows
  • 2 large spoonfuls (about 1/2 c.) marshmallow fluff
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. candy corn candies
  • yellow and orange food coloring
  • 1/2 c. each, white, orange and yellow candy melts

Recipe

  1. With non-stick cooking spray, spray the inside of a bundt or tube pan. Set aside.
  2. In a medium microwave safe bowl, melt one Tbsp. butter, add 1c. marshmallows to the melted butter, and stir. Melt the marshmallows for about 30 seconds on medium heat. Add 2 c. cereal to the melted marshmallows and stir well. Add the 2 large spoonfuls of the marshmallow fluff, and stir thoroughly. Lightly spray your hands with non-stick spray. Using your hands, firmly press the white cereal mixture into the bottom of the bundt pan. Add 1/2 cup of the candy corn to the top of the white cereal mixture.
  3. For the second layer, melt another tablespoon of butter in a microwave safe bowl. Add two cups of marshmallows, and stir. Melt on medium power for 30-45 seconds. Stir the melted marshmallows, and add several drops of the orange food coloring. Add 2 cups of cereal and stir thoroughly. Spray hands and firmly press the orange mixture onto the top of the white mixture. Add the remaining 1/2 cup of candy corn to the top of the orange layer.
  4. For the third layer, melt the last tablespoon of butter in a microwave safe bowl. Add two cups of marshmallows, and stir. Melt on medium power for 30-45 seconds. Stir the melted marshmallows, and add several drops of the yellow food coloring. Add 2 cups of cereal and stir thoroughly. Spray hands and firmly press the yellow mixture onto the top of the orange mixture. Let the pan set for a few minutes to cool. Invert the pan onto a plate, and the cake will come right out.
  5. Melt each of the three candy melt colors in their own bowls. (Follow the label on the candy melts for proper melting directions.) Drizzle the cake with each of the candy melts, and let set before serving.
