Valentine’s Day isn’t a significant day in the year for everyone and some of us choose to ignore it completely because it’s seen as “over-commercialised”, or due to the fact we may not have an other half to spend it with. However, being slightly (a bit of an understatement) obsessed with fashion, I thought I’d take it upon myself to create 3 outfits that could be worn if you’re going out on a date at night, in the dayor if you’re opting for something more casual.

  1. The Pretty in Pink look.

If you’re going out for a meal on Valentine’s Dayor even out on the town to celebrate, then this one’s for you. The super flattering wrap blouse covers any of those unwanted lumps and bumps and teaming this number with a pair of trousers gives you that ultra androgynous look that’s been hitting the catwalk recently. Don’t let the ankle-grazer style or loose fit round the legs put you off, you definitely won’t look like you have tree-trunk legs if you play it right by sticking on your best pair of heels. I’ve chosen these metallic one’s from ASOS because they act like an accessory in themselves, but any pink/white/silver heels will do the job. And don’t forget a cute bag to take out – nothing so big you wish you didn’t have to carry it, but big enough to fit everything in… Well, maybe not everything.

Topshop Drape Front Pocket Blouse – £36

ASOS Cigarette Trousers in Crepe – £28

ASOS Hermione Heeled Sandals – £40

ASOS Metal Heart Cross Body Bag – £30

  1. The Day Time Date” look.

Got a more casual date on the cards? This ensemble will definitely tick all the boxes to ensure that you extra warm and comfortable, for your valentine’s date. My favourite is definitely the roll neck from Missguided, which you can find in almost any shop you walk in now! Coordinating this with a blush pink boyfriend coat and some pointed loafers is a great way to create an on-trend outfit that’s a lot more comfy to wear than heels or a dress. And, by the way, don’t let the look of white jeans in winter put you off pulling off this look, they are the best alternative to your usual black or denim blue ones – just make sure you don’t sit on anything yucky.

Missguided Sapphire Roll Neck Cable Jumper Dress in Dark Grey – £25

Missguided Lena Oversize Cocoon Coat in Pink – £20

Miss Selfridge Black Mini Wing Tote Bag – £29

MOTO Winter White Ripped Leigh Jeans – £40

New Look White Croc Pointed Loafers – £24.99

Mac Lipstick in Pure Zen – £15.50

  1. The “Rock Chick look.

I know a lot of you won’t be making much of an effort for Valentine’s Day, but this ultra cool look could be worn any day, so it’s worth making note of if you’re looking for new additions to your 2015 wardrobe. And if you haven’t already bought a leather jacket (why not?!), then I suggest you invest in one; it’s such a timeless piece and the more you wear it the better it starts to look.

Wearing all black means we’ve gotta’ throw in some kind of print and/or colour and I’ve chosen these super versatile leopard print brogues from Dune, with an on-trend block heel. The pointed toe will also accentuate the length of your legs – what’s not to love?! And, not forgetting the cliché red lipstick and some funky midi rings to complete the look.

ASOS High Neck Top with Cold Shoulder – £28

River Island Amelie Super Skinny Black Coated Jean – £45

Miss Selfridge Geo Cutout Ring Pack – £8.50

Dune Loris – Leopard Lace Up Shoe – £41

Topshop Neat-Fit Leather Biker Jacket by Boutique – £220

Nars Audacious Lipstick in Rita – £24
