Forever Review- Bath Time Products

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lancaster chapter.

Over the last week I’ve been trying out some products from Forever. They are a company offering a range of products sourcing from the aloe vera plant such as, cleaning products, weight-loss gels and cosmetics! A gigantic plus for me was the fact that Forever products are cruelty free, a necessity for me in my bid to be kinder to the environment and the animals in it! I was interested and got a few products to try out, courtesy of my amazing friend and super productive business provider for Forever, Anna Mather!

Today I’m going to be writing about my experience with the bath-time products: the shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and moisturiser!

Aloe-Jojoba Shampoo

When I opened the shampoo, the first thing I noticed was the smell. I expected it to have that burning medical smell, you know like witch-hazel? But, to my surprise, it didn’t, the aloe and jojoba really worked well together and the smell was soft and fragrant!

Now, the sachet I had was pretty small for my hair length and, unknowing of this, I sort of plopped a massive blob on the middle of the back of my head and found it quite hard to get all of my hair lathered. My bad! But, I eventually managed and was ready to be a little more economical with the next sachet, a problem that buyers of the product wouldn’t have to face.

Aloe-Jojoba Conditioner

Next, I used the conditioner, again a gorgeously light and fragrant smell and despite the small sachet amount, it spread well. I normally use a handful of conditioner, but you really didn’t need it. It covered my hair root to tip and as i washed it off, my hair already felt softer, so I was already pretty impressed.

My dry hair felt a lot lighter. I don’t blow-dry my hair because it’s curly and I can’t deal with the hassle of looking like Annie for the rest of the night. So, I try and help the environment by letting it dry naturally; however, this comes with its own risks. Leaving it to dry on its own can lead to wavy hair, half wavy-half curly, springy mattress head or just a frizz ball, its usually anyone’s game. After using Aloe-Jojoba shampoo and conditioner, however, it was nice to see that my hair wasn’t frizzy; it had a nice even curl and was good enough to go straight out, without any frizz-ease, straightening or my usual go-to, the high-pony. I also noticed that my hair colour looked a little lighter after using these products, I’m not sure why. It might be the evenness of the hair when it dried or just the result of a really good clean, but I was really happy with it!

Aloe Bath Gelée

This product came in a squeeze-bottle and I’m still using it now; a little really goes a long way with these products! This product didn’t have the jojoba and it didn’t need it, the aloe alone left it smelling gorgeous and you can still smell it when you dry off. It was thick and lathered well. The consistency and green colour of the gel reminded me of a peel-off facemask, not too sure if that’s good or bad, but it did. Using the gel in the bath, my skin already felt soft and hydrated.

Aloe Moisturizing Lotion

After drying off I used the Aloe Moisturizing Lotion on my legs. Reading the sachet I found that it could be used on the face and body which is a really big plus for me as being able to use it on your face means that it’s pretty safe for sensitive skin. For a little sachet it spread well and, like the body gel, it smelled really good. Also, there was no waiting for ages for it to absorb, it absorbs fully and quickly!

However, a while after applying it, my legs didn’t feel as moisturised as they could have. It could have been due to the weather or the amount in the sachet so I wasn’t too mad.

All the products had a depth to them, you could tell that, in comparison to other products, they were the real deal. Instead of just using scents you could feel the real aloe vera in the products and it really made a difference. I felt a lot cleaner and more natural using Forever in comparison to other, more perfumed products. The gorgeous aloe smell stays for a long time without that strange layer you get with other products, where you can feel the product on your skin or in your hair after washing it out.

Forever shower products were awesome! My hair and skin looked and felt amazing, they’re a real taste of luxury and a well needed break away from artificial and perfumed products! I would definitely recommend!
