The Stats;

Name: Joe Walker

Age: 21Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā

Hometown: Leicester

Degree: BA Geography

Year: 3rd

Relationship Status: Single

A bit about you;

How do you feel to be this week’s Campus Cutie?

Overwhelmed with emotion, it’s a great accolade.

What is your favourite thing about university?

The people that you meet who become top friends for life, the freedom, and going from never cooking pasta in my life to now being able to rustle up a mean cheesy pasta bake.

Are you a member of any societies?

Yep, I play the fairly unknown Dutch sport of Korfball. I got into it because I wanted to try something completely new after ā€˜retiring’ from Rugby due to injury. It’s a great laugh and different to most other sports as both sexes play together.

What else do you like to get up to in your spare time, any hobbies?

I’m a big sports fan, especially football and Rugby, so I go home quite a bit to support my local teams. I also enjoy travelling, so that’s taken me almost everywhere across Europe!

Do you have any nicknames?

Big man or Walker usually, although ā€˜handcuffs’ has come about after events on a social…

How would your friends describe you in three words?

Sarcastic, Sports-Obsessed and Hilarious.

What’s next then, after uni?

Good question! Going to have to get the job hunt going- doing what, I’d love to know. Then its 50 years of work before a well-earned retirement…fun!

Ā

On to the girls;

What do you look for in a girl?

A bubbly personality with a great sense of humour that I can relate to, understanding my sarcasm is probably quite important with me.

What is your biggest turn off?

Anyone who thinks and acts like they’re better than everyone else. Also nose piercings.

Any celebrity crushes?

After being forced to watch Corrie on a regular basis (secretly enjoying it) there’s something about Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) that I like.

Give us your best chat-up line.

If you were a bogey, I’d pick you first.

What do you think your best feature is?

My height – I’m massive!

Where would you take us on a first date to really impress us?

Being not too far from the Lake District, how about a nice boat ride before settling down for some lunch.

Ā

Moving on to some quirkier questions;

What three people; dead, alive, and fictional, would you invite to a dinner party?

Hitler, Emile Heskey and Roger Red Hat (loved those kids books).

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Invisibility, imagine all the things you could get up to with that one!

What are you never seen without?

My contact lenses, otherwise I can’t really see.

What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Setting the kitchen on fire in first year was pretty crazy; I’ve struggled to cook chicken since – very traumatic.

If you could be anyone else in the world for a day, who would you be?

Gary Barlow – he’s just a nice chap isn’t he.

Ā

Think fast;

Dream job: Sports Journalist.

Favourite food: A proper good burger.

Favourite film: Borat.

Favourite music artist: Take That.

Favourite animal: My chocolate brown Labrador, Harvey.
