Ah, Valentine’s Day. Pink and red hearts dangle from the ceilings, bouquets of roses fill flower shop windows and cheesy love songs play in cafes.

While “I just called to say I love you” plays on the radio, and “P.S. I Love You” is on TV, why not treat yourself to some of the scrumptious creations that the market has decided to tickle our taste buds with? Whether you’re single or in a relationship, you will be tempted by these February the fourteenth treats.

Millie’s cookies have definitely embraced this magical day. Heart shaped cakes and cookies are just the beginning, you can even choose what to write on the cake! “Be mine! Now!” seems like a popular choice this year, though some people decide to keep it classic with “Happy Valentines Day!” written on a large cookie crumble, or a delicate dark chocolate brownie. Yum.

Greggs have also decided to spoil us. These sweet, raspberry ripple cupcakes are coated with thick, pink and white icing, and topped with heart shaped sugary candy. Don’t mind if I do…

If you’ve got a little bit more money to spend on yourself or your loved one this Valentine’s day, how about popping in to Hotel Chocolat?  Their range will satisfy your every desire, and this Strawberry Heart lick is no exception. “A gorgeously intricate heart shaped lolly, cast in creamy strawberry flavoured white chocolate.” – I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Last, but certainly not least, is this Valentine’s Day card, also by Hotel Chocolat. Cards and chocolate are a must on this romantic day, and what better way to combine the two? A 40% milk chocolate slab wrapped in a stylish and unique card, all for an accessible price. The question here is: why not?
