5 Ways to Feel More Christmassy

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lancaster chapter.

This week marks the 1st December which for me is officially Christmas. However, it can be hard to get into the Christmas mood especially when you have deadlines for the end of term. Therefore, there are my top tips to get more into the festive spirit.

1. Go Into Town

Browse the Christmas gifts in Boots and M&S. Or go in in the afternoon once it’s dark to see the Christmas lights.

2. Decorate your Uni Room

Whilst you won’t be in Lancaster for Christmas, having a few decorations are great to get you feeling more Christmassy

3. Go to Barton Grange

This is an incredible Garden Centre 40 minutes away on the 40 bus route. This time of year it has the most amazing display of Christmas Decorations and there is not a more festive place

4. Organise or go to a Christmas Meal

This could be with your friends/ flat with everyone helping to cook or perhaps go to a society organised Christmas that you’re part of.

5. Go to a Christmas Market

There is often one up at the Castle in Lancaster or take a train trip to Manchester or Edinburgh for their famous markets.
