1. MUA Highlighter – £3

At only £3 this highlighter is amazing; it comes in different glimmers and lasts forever! You can get this is Boots, Superdrug and other cosmetics stores, all for the same price. There are plenty to choose from, Pink Shimmer, Iridescent Gold, Golden Afterglow, Glistening Amethyst, Peach Diamond, Radiant Cashmere, Rosewood Glimmer, Aqua Shine and the Golden Scintillation! I personally think they work just as well as the Urban Decay version, just at a far more reasonable price! I use the Iridescent Gold, which gives a more golden look as opposed to the usual silvery look, and there’s tons left after using it for months!

2. Collection concealer – £4.19

I have used this type of concealer for years and it comes in many different shades: Cool Medium, Dark Shade, Fair shade, Lemon and Warm Medium Shade, offering medium coverage. It is great for covering dark circles and blemishes and is very matte, as well as staying on all day! However, I’d say press it with powder because it tends to crease around the eyes sometimes and it tends to set quickly! This is a great product that you can often wear instead of a full-face of foundation if you’re in a rush! It is sold at Boots, Asda, Superdrug and other cosmetic stores!

Or order one online here, although it is best to test which shade is right for you in store!

3. Anastasia Dip-brow – £19

This one’s a bit pricier, but you can get it from websites such as Beauty Bay, Cult Beauty and Sephora, due to it being American. The dip-brow lasts a long time and I use the blonde shade, which avoids orange or dark brown tones like many other ‘blonde’ products, and matches well with my darker blonde hair. I would definitely recommend this product to people who have thinner eyebrows and want to build a bolder look. However, it is great to use on other types of brows to fill them out and fill any gaps. Any slanted eye-brow brush works with this product and Anastasia also sell their own eye-brow brush to match. The shades range from: blonde, soft brown, ebony, chocolate, caramel, medium brown, granite, ash brown, auburn and so on! You don’t need much of the product for it to work so it does last a while – a definite must have!

4. Revolution Mermaid Eye Palettes – £8

It was a big leap, from using Urban Decay and Morphe palettes to Makeup Revolution palettes. However, I was very surprised at how effective they are! I purchased the Mermaid palette for £8 from Superdrug, because the colours were so bright and radiant. On nights out, I find that the colours stay on really well so is quite pigmented and the range of colours offered is amazing – from electrical to browns to light shades, so it’s an amazing palette to play around with! I haven’t tried the other types of Revolution palettes yet, but I’ve heard great things, which range from Affirmation, Flawless Matte, Ultra Flawless 2 and many more! You can get these from Superdrug, Tambeauty and other make-up websites.

5. NYX Soft matte lip cream – £6

This is an amazing lip cream with great pigmentation and tends to stay on for a long time! However, due to suffering from dry lips I find the cream can be a little drying for me, although if you do not have dry lips then this perfect for you – as many reviews show that it’s not as drying as you’d expect from such a matte product! There is a massive colour range to choose from as well: from pinks to reds to purples to browns. Recently Boots have begun selling this product in their stores, but you can also order online too!
