4 Autumn Hair Products

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lancaster chapter.

1.      Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment

Wow! Lee really is a miracle worker. Ever since I cut my hair off in year 6 for what I thought would be a cute, chic bob, I have been longing for luscious, mermaid-like hair. It has taken me this long (7 long, hair years) to reach a full recovery. I’ve always had a problem with growing my hair downwards as opposed to outwards (and upwards!) as I have curly hair, but this product contains a PRO-GROWTH™ Complex, which is a protein-based complex that fertilises your follicles to help hair grow faster and reach its maximum potential length. The Hair Growth Treatment also reduces hair loss, minimises irritation and moisturises the scalp. I use the treatment lotion which is an extra stage in between the shampoo and conditioner steps and it really has made a difference.

2.      John Frieda Frizz Ease Curl Enhancer

After using this product, my hair unfortunately resembled crispy bacon. Yes, it does ease frizz but at the same time it makes hair heavy and brittle. I even had to wash my hair again after using it (I didn’t really fancy walking around looking like the best part of a fry up, thanks). I should mention that I only used three drops of the product (the usual amount I use for hair products). For me, this curl enhancer is best left on the shop shelf. There are many other better products which really do ease frizz without the added crunchiness.

3.       V05 smoothly does it Frizz Free Creme

For most of the year, I live in rainy Lancaster and I mean R-A-I-N-Y. Everyday is a challenge for my frizz-prone, curly hair. This product miraculously controls my mane even in the toughest of climates! Using heat activated formula, it smoothes hair and helps protect from heat styling and moisture loss. I found that it works equally well on hair when heat is not applied- a win-win! Guaranteed this the best £4.19 you will spend.

4.       Organix Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil

At first, I ignored the argan oil hype, but when recommended by my equally frizzy-haired friend to try it out , I gave in. And I’m so glad I did! I’ve gone from wild lion to tamed tabby all because of this Moroccan treasure. Originally used for dipping bread in at breakfast, argan oil is fast becoming a beauty saviour worldwide. This exotic precious formula is very multi-functional: it instantly infuses hair with a sheer veil of shine, gives colour and highlights glow, while reducing split ends, and taming fly-a-way frizzies. It is basically a hair hero: it is the ibuprofen when you’re hungover.

Now what’s stopping you from achieving those long, healthy, frizz-free tresses you’ve always longed for?! I know you’ve secretly got www.boots.com open…treat yourself, after all there are only eight weeks until Christmas now!
