Now that Halloween is over, don’t let your these costumes go to waste! Here are some sustainable ideas you can choose from to continue putting your costume to good use:
- Sell: Places like Ebay, Depop, Poshmark, or Facebook Marketplace are great places to sell costumes and earn some of your money back.
- Reuse: A lot of costumes can be recycled into cute outfits! Cut up a dress and make it a two piece set, save that leopard top for Laf-Lehigh, etc. Also, if you can recycle your costume into a cute fit, you’re more likely to be able to sell it!
- Save: You never know; you could reuse some of your items for next year’s costume–or your friends and family can put it to use!
- Donate: Not only to thrift stores, but elementary and high schools as well.
These are only a couple of ideas, but please do not just get rid of it! Let’s all do our part to try and reduce waste.
