This past weekend, two of my friends and I went downtown to try out all the coffee places in Easton, PA. Here’s where we went and what I thought about them!

  1. Three Birds

This was my first experience at Three Birds. Located on 226 Bushkill Street in Easton, this coffee shop is pretty close to Lafayette. Immediately after walking in, my friends and I fell in love with the atmosphere and vibes. There is plenty of space to study and relax, and if you ever get bored you can go talk to the resident bird, Dorian, who will dance and talk to you. Even if you’re not a coffee fan, I definitely recommend stopping by to study if you need a change of scenery. As far as the coffee goes, we tried the sweetened hot mocha and it was fantastic. It was rich, fluffy, and it wasn’t too bitter or too sweet. I also tried a gluten free and vegan ginger peach muffin and it hit the spot. I’d give Three Birds a 10/10!

  1. Terra Cafe

I’ve been to Terra Cafe before and it is one of my favorites. It has super cool flavors of coffee like red velvet or cookie dough, but rest assured they have the classics as well like caramel and vanilla. This was our first stop of the coffee tour and we got bagels to pair with all the coffee we drank. We also tried a hot chai latte with oat milk and I can’t say it was good. I thought it tasted like milk with a hint of tea instead of the classic strong cinnamon taste chai is known for. To forget about our disappointment, we got an iced coffee with cookie dough flavoring. Personally I didn’t taste the cookie dough but my friends really enjoyed it. When I’ve gone, I’ve gotten an iced vanilla coffee with almond milk and caramel drizzle which I really love. Terra Cafe might need some experimenting, but they have so many things– from food, to smoothies, to muffins, to coffee– that I’m sure anyone can find something they’ll love! I’d give Terra an 8/10!

  1. Quadrant Book Mart and Coffee House

All three of us had never been to  Quadrant, so we were excited to share our first times going with one another. It is a cute book store/diner/coffee shop located next to Playa Bowls. We tried to go here before Terra, but it was a Saturday morning and there was an hour-long wait. When we decided to go back, they had already called our name–but since we weren’t there, they crossed our names off and we had to wait about 20 more minutes. Once we finally got a seat, we ordered the mochaccino, which was a mocha cappuccino. It came in a fancy cup and tasted really good! I think if I were to go back, I would go to try the food. If you’re interested in going too, keep in mind that they don’t take reservations or accommodate parties of 6 people and over. Though the vibes were cute, I don’t think it’s too worthwhile. I’d give Quadrant a 5/10 just based on their coffee and the fact that the waitress said we should rank them number one (but she was going to Terra after work for coffee instead of getting coffee there which I thought was funny).

  1. Cakes and Corolla

Cakes and Corolla is located at 125 N Third Street. I didn’t get coffee here or try my friends’ coffee, but they both really liked it. It has a cute environment and the cakes and other goodies they sold looked delicious. I figured this could be an honorable mention since the people who worked there were really sweet and I would definitely go back there for a mini cake!

These are just the places my friends and I visited over the weekend. There are plenty more places to get coffee in the Easton area. I definitely recommend giving these places a try— who knows, you might find a new favorite!
