Sometimes it’s easy to fall into the same old routine, especially when it comes to your hair. Looking for a way to spice up your look? Here are a few simple ways to add flair to your everyday hair.
Monday: Dutch Braids
For a twist on your classic french braids, try dutch braids. They’re the same concept as french braids, but you cross under rather than over. They stand out a little bit more on top of the hair rather than blending into it. Dutch braids are the best way to start your week off with a bang.
Tuesday: Crown Braid
Tuesdays can be pretty blah, so why not give yourself the royal treatment? The crown braid is an elegant way to transform a Bluesday into a Woo-Hoosday!
Wednesday: French Braids into an Updo
Hump day can be a high hill to cross, but it also means you’re halfway through the week! Congrats to you! Save yourself a little extra time in the morning with this look and go get a crepe before class. Start with two french braids (or dutch, whatever you’re feeling!) but save yourself time and effort by stopping at the crown of your head. Then just bring the hair together and do a quick regular braid, bun, or ponytail for a pretty and simple look.
Thursday: French plait into a Pony
When are Thursdays not a blur? If you catch yourself in a rush, try this subtle and quick hairstyle. Add a reverse braid underneath your ponytail to add a little extra flavor to a regular look. This is a great choice for lab days when you need to have your hair up but still wanna feel fresh! Feel free to use a regular braid and just bring it into the ponytail, or to french/dutch braid up to it.
Friday: Waterfall Braid
You made it! It’s Friday! Feeling good? Then you should look good. This is a fancy way to wear your hair down and adds a little touch of magic as you head into your weekend.
Try out these styles and you’re sure to get some compliments around campus!
