That Fall Playlist to Go With Your Chai Latte

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lafayette chapter.

It’s that time of year again where leaves turn to their most beautiful shades, the air becomes crisp, and all you want is a warm drink and sweater. To me, this time of year brings nothing but fun times, cozy nights, and wonderful memories. To add to this already wonderful season, I’ve created a compilation of various types of songs that remind me of the perfect autumn aesthetic and will be a great addition to your fall playlists. Without further ado, this is your 2019 fall playlist:

1. Baby Blue by Rence

This is one of those songs that makes walking to class at 9 AM enjoyable.

2. Nellie by Dr. Dog

Brb gonna go make an apple pie.

3.Cocoa Butter Kisses by Chance the Rapper

You wouldn’t expect Chance the Rapper to be on a playlist like this, but this song gives me a fall vibe in a different way. Overall, give it a listen.

4. Hearts of Gold by Christian French

To me, Christian French is just a powerhouse of an artist. His songs are chill, his voice is so soothing, and perfect for a chill Sunday.

5. Sweet Creature by Harry Styles

All my One Direction fans out there know how soothing Harry Styles’ voice can be and this song does not disappoint.

6. Ever Since New York by Harry Styles

Is there anything more wonderful than Central Park in fall. The lyrics and melody brought me back home.

7. Honeybee by The Head and the Heart

Happy fall song, happy fall vibes.

8. New Constellations by Ryn Weaver

I first discovered this song in 2015 and it’s been in my Favorite Songs of All Time playlist since the day I heard it. Also, Ryn Weaver’s voice is simply soothing and melodic.

9. Dead Man Walking by Jon Bellion

My man Jon Bellion wrote this acoustic song in one sitting and recorded it in one take. Let me tell you that it screams pure talent.

10. Our House by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

I first discovered this song in a scene from “How I Met Your Mother” when Ted decides to buy his first house and it gave me a comforting feeling that I wanted to share.

11. Taylor Swift’s entire “Red” album

Ever since it’s release in 2012, this album (as a whole) has defined the ideals of a good fall playlist.

12. Elysium by Bear’s Den

Fall asleep to this song and dream good dreams.

13. Above the Clouds of Pompeii by Bear’s Den

It’s a coffee shop type.

14. Back to Autumn by Tall Heights

The name itself is self-explanatory. The guitar, the vocals, lyrics… perfection. When you listen to this song, you’ll never want autumn to leave.

15. Trifecta by Future Generations

The song is mostly instrumental which will bring a new twist to your playlist.

16. Shrike by Hozier

If the act of crunching leaves on a long stroll was a song this is what it would be.

17. warm glow by Hippo Campus

Play this in the background while you write an essay.

18. Symmetry by Colouring

Look around and appreciate the foliage, the people, the world.

19. Swim (Reprise) by Valley

Do something fun to this song.

20. A Phone Call in Amsterdam by Valley

Another valley, another similar vibe, another adventure song.

21. “99” by Barns Courtney

Apple picking. Enough said.

22. That’s A Lifestyle by Dirty Projectors

Starting as acoustic and ever-building, this song is that indie vibe everyone needs.

23. you were good to me by Jeremy Zucker and Chelsea Cutler

This is your sad fall sitting-in-a-coffee-shop-in-the-rain type of song. Fall is a time to make good memories, and this song touches upon those memories.

Listen, relax, enjoy.
