It’s about three weeks into quarantine (maybe, I have no real concept of time right now) and we are all losing our minds. But with all this free time, it’s a perfect opportunity to get crafty and distract ourselves from missing out on darty season. Here are some of the crafts I’ve been doing to stay busy:

  1. Painting

Whether you’re artistic or not, painting is a great way to release stress AND you have a cool painting to hang on your wall! Let your creative juices flow and express yourself on the canvas (or repaint a totally tubular painting you saw on Pinterest)!

  1. Tie-Dying

Go crazy, go stupid, go tie-dye. I ordered a cheap tie-dye kit on Amazon and a few white t-shirts and it has changed my life. Maybe it’s the camp nostalgia or the hippie energy but dying your own shirts is a must. Have fun turning old t-shirts into colorful creations!

  1. DIY T-shirts

Buying custom shirts is so overrated when you can make them yourself! To start, I bought heat transfer paper from Amazon and printed out my own designs. You can find designs or logos on Pinterest, print them out, and iron them onto your shirt. This is such a fun and creative way to save money and make your own cute t-shirt!

  1. Bracelet making

I have always wanted to hop on the beaded bracelet trend and this quarantine has let me! I ordered beads and string from Amazon (my craft savior) and created my own bracelets. You can spell out your name or any cute message you want!

It’s easy to start feeling sad about this online semester away from your friends but crafting is a fun way to stay busy! Get your friends on Zoom and paint together! Check-in on your friends and stay safe, healthy, and home! Happy crafting everyone.

Faith, trust, and pixie dust,
