My favorite holiday is Easter, so needless to say I am very excited by the approaching weekend. Every year people look at me like I’m crazy for claiming my love for a holiday that isn’t christmas. So here I am with the five top reasons why Easter is the best holiday (plus a few suggestions on how to make the holiday an Easter Extravaganza).

- Fluffy baby animals: Bunnies, kittens, chicks— Oh my! Spring is the time for baby animals and Easter makes it even better by putting them in baskets!

- Flowers: Everyone rarely has the extra money to buy fresh flowers (am I right college students)? But for Easter, fresh flowers are a necessity and despite that fat hole in your wallet, they are worth it.
- Family: I know, such a typical answer. But Easter falls during a time of the year when many students don’t get to go home. A few weeks after Spring break and right after mid-terms it is a great way to rejuvenate.
