Leading up to J.K Rowling’s highly anticipated Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, let’s rank the Harry Poter film franchise from worst to best.

#8 : Chamber of Secrets

Coming as the longest Harry Potter film, the film sometimes tries to cover way too much source material that isn’t exactly necessary to the main narrative of the story. Despite this, Chamber of Secrets is a fun sequel that takes a slightly darker turn than its predecessor.

# 7: Deathly Hallows Part 1

This film serves as basically a filler to the highly anticipated part 2. Not much happens, but there is substantial information that leads to the final chapter that is important. Film is also very quiet so the action sequences feel a lot more real and violent. It’s a nice touch by David Yates(director) and company.

# 6: Sorcerer’s Stone

A proper intro to the iconic first book full of quidditch matches, quirky spells, and a fun adorable cast really takes us into the world we’re about to explore for the years to come. The Sorcerer’s Stone is a fun magical adventure.

# 5: Goblet of Fire

It’s loved by many for good reason. We get to see Voldermort for the first time since the first film, the Tri-Wizard Tournament sequences are fun and exhilarating to watch, and the three main actors have developed their acting so much that they have truly become their characters. Not to mention, the visuals and look of this film is bloody-brilliant.

I love reading, writing and especially watching films :) Movies and writing about them inspire to dream beyond reality :)
