Spring semester has just begun and I know that I already feel the stress of what’s to come from all of my classes (my final semester I might add YIKES)! Honestly tv shows are my guilty pleasure and totally help me de-stress after a long day of classes, so here are a few new favorites that you need to start in 2018!

1. The Good Doctor

The Good Doctor premiered in September and it is honestly SO GOOD. Freddie Highmore portrays an autistic savant resident at a hospital, with the show following his trials and tribulations (along with his colleagues drama as well). Highmore honestly killed it as Norman Bates and he is crushing it as Shaun Murphy as well. He is truly such a gifted actor, taking on such complex roles and doing so flawlessly.

So if you like hospital dramas AND Freddie Highmore then this show is totally for you!

2. The Resident

The Resident is another hospital show, which I mean c’mon there is already enough of those right? NOOPPEEE. I think I like this show more than Grey’s Anatomy! (Yes I said it!) Matt Czuchry from Gilmore Girls (Team Logan all the way) is one of the main characters the show follows along with other residents, nurses and the chief of surgery and lets just say this chief of surgery is no Richard Webber! (He kills more people than he saves)

So if you love romance, Logan Huntzberger, and hospital drama, then this show is A MUST.

3. 9-1-1

I haven’t personally started this show, but it is a dramatic thriller about 911 dispatchers and first responders. Peter Krause from Parenthood and Connie Britton from Friday Night Lights are main characters of the show and honestly that’s enough for me to try it out!

Plus they have Oliver Stark, a SUPER attractive British actor who plays a series regular character named Buck.

Honestly give it a try, especially if you want something other than a hospital drama hahahaha

4. Riverdale

Okay so I know Riverdale is in their second season but I can’t not add this onto the list! The cast includes Cole Sprouse, KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes et cetera and they are honestly all stunning and you can definitely feel the chemistry of the cast while watching. I feel like this show is my guilty pleasure, much like Pretty Little Liars was, but it is still a great little teen thriller to lose yourself in when you are stressing during the semester. Plus, I honestly believe that the second season is WAY better than the first season!

Good luck this spring semester ladies and gentleman! I hope you can find some relief by responsibly bingeing one or more of these fantastic shows hahaha
