Social distancing can be hard for everyone, introverts, extroverts, boomers to Gen-Z…everyone. But what happens when boo wants to quarantine with you?

For the past week since La Salle shut down, I’ve spent every day of my original spring break with my partner. It absolutely has its pros and cons. SO if you do decide to stay with your S/O, here are some things you can do to have the best experience.

  1. Get out of bed. As comfortable and warm as it can be, get up and get moving! Your entire day can fly by when you binge your favorite TV show with your partner, and it might leave you feeling restless at the end of the day. Binge your show, sure, but after you get up and make your bed.
  2. Separate. Not everything you do has to be together. It’s perfectly fine to co-exist without interacting as much. Maybe you read, while your partner plays a game, maybe you go cook while they shower. Find out what works best for you.
  3. Do a project together. Collaborating on a puzzle, a co-op game, or cooking dinner together can be a nice bonding experience with a goal in mind, instead of just mindlessly getting lost in phone and TV screens.
  4. Go for walks, runs, or drives. While adhering to social distancing, or your state’s quarantine rules, get out and get some fresh air.

TL:DR: Do what’s best for you and your relationship.
