This vegan cornbread recipe is sure to wow any crowd. Not only is it delicious, but most people won’t even believe you when you say it’s vegan. Try this recipe to trick your meat-eater friends, or to simply broaden your palate. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cups all purpose flour 
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal 
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk 
  • ⅓ cup canola oil 

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease an 8×8 baking dish. 
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir thoroughly.
  3. Add almond milk and canola oil. Stir well. 
  4. Pour batter into the baking pan.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
