Ariana Grande is at it again breaking record after record with her fifth album “thank u, next.”
This album is, in my opinion, amazing. It is a darker album than her fourth album that was released last summer, “Sweetener,” my personal favorite album ever. It is almost the bittersweet version of Sweetener and holds just as many personal touches from her life, if not even a little bit more.
It is an album that consists of break up vibes, raw feelings, and a few light hearted ones. They are songs of her growing through the pain she has dealt with in her life. My favorites from this album are NASA, bloodline, fake smile, bad idea, 7 rings, and break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored. I tried to narrow it down to a top five, but I could not, so I have a top six and they are brilliant. I can also relate to them from different times in my life and from my own experiences.
I love the bad ass vibes in this album and the way she shows off her vocals. She is so in touch with who she is and how she feels and it is amazing. She took the hard times in her life and created an incredible album with it. She had a great time with her friends, did what made her happy, and put out music for all to enjoy as well.
Grande continues to create such an impact in the music industry and I am so proud of her. I have been a fan of hers since 2010 when she was Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon’s “Victorious.” I thought she had such a wonderful voice when she was a red head and acted as her loveable little character on the show. Little did she know then just how much was ahead of her in her career. She is just continuing to make and break record.
I cannot wait to see how the rest of this era for her goes and I am so happy to be a fan of such an influential woman. You freaking go Ariana Grande.
