I’m not over exaggerating when I say that I love MTV’s Teen Wolf. It is loosely based off of the 1985 movie Teen Wolf that stared Michael J. Fox. You know the one, with the basketball playing kid in high school that wolfs out during a game and the crowd goes nuts for him. Well, in 2011 MTV decided to produce a television of the same name written and created by Jeff Davis.
The series follows Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) as he tries to navigate high school, dating, and lacrosse while dealing with the fact that he is a newly bitten werewolf. His very human best friend Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O’Brien) tries to help Scott control his new abilities. Of course, we can’t forget the fact that he just started a relationship with Allison Argent (Crystal Reed) whose family has an odd tie to the werewolf population of Beacon Hills, California. Then he has to deal with an overbearing, brooding, natural born werewolf named Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin), a self-absorbed lacrosse jock known as a Jackson Whitmore (Colton Haynes), and a secretly intelligent, yet mean, Lydia Martin (Holland Roden).
But, what’s my favorite thing about the show? It’s the brotherhood and friendship between Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski. There are so many scenes between the two of them, that’s it was so hard to choose. But, I managed to pick five of my favorite Scott and Stiles moments and they are listed below.
5. Training
After Scott is bitten by an Alpha, he needs to learn how to control his transformations. Stiles takes it upon himself to train Scott. An entire episode is dedicated to Stiles’ odd tactics. In one, he tapes Scott’s hands together and hurls lacrosse balls at him. Ah… true friendship.
4. “Dude, you still got me.”
At the end of season 2, Scott gives a speech about how he has nothing. But Stiles, the ever persistent, adorable little bean that he is, insists that Scott still has him and that he always will. It is the perfect ending for a dramatic filled season. This is such a great moment between the two of them, that people have actually made best friend key chains with their quotes from the scene.
3. Stiles shares his fear of dying
In the second part of season three, Stiles believes he developed a form of dementia that can affect teenagers. In this scene, Scott comforts him and tells him that they will figure this out. Then, they hug each other tightly while the viewers of the show try—and fail—to hold back their tears.
2. “You’re my brother.”
In season three Scott is affected by a toxic form of wolfs bane. He states that he is no one, that he doesn’t matter. But Stiles won’t let him believe that. Instead, Stiles tells him that they are brothers and were one goes, so does the other. Let me tell you, this scene is one of the biggest tear jerker’s of the entire show.
1. Literally every single scene between these two.
Like I said earlier, there are way too many amazing scenes between them for me to pick. So, my number one choice is every beautiful moment these two shared. Their relationship and adventures are the heart and soul of Teen Wolf, and I will remember them forever.
