Whenever I get super stressed, which seems to be happening more and more recently, there are always movies and TV shows that I turn to. It’s different for everyone, but just in case anyone needs a new comfort movie, here are a few of mine.

  1. How To Train Your Dragon

This is my favorite movie of all time. Honestly, I’ve probably seen it way too many times to count.. The story is great, the animation is beautiful, and the music transports you. Also, the dragons are always a good incentive to watch it.

  1. Love, Simon

I could probably watch this movie a thousand times in a row without getting too tired of it. Even though it’s different from the book, and I have plenty of issues with Simon’s friends in the film, I still love Simon as a character. Also, Jennifer Garner, who plays his mom, is amazing too.

  1. Lilo and Stitch

I doubt this one needs a promo, but just in case, here it is. It’s a heartwarming story that, even though it made me cry the first time I watched it, I now find it extremely comforting. Plus, the music in it is superb.

  1. Handsome Devil

I don’t even remember how I found this movie, but I’m glad I did. It’s set in an all boys school in Ireland. It’s about the bond between two roommates, and one of them coming to terms with his secuality. There are tumultuous moments, but the overall vibe is really nice. The film is shot beautifully, and the accents make it better.

  1. Home Again

Last but least, my girl Reese Witherspoon. This movie is about Reese Witherspoon’s character moving to LA after a separation from her husband. In LA, she meets a trio made of an actor, director, and writer. They move into her guest house and become friends with her as well as her kids. It’s really heartwarming, and Witherspoon really shines.
